About

Nadine About box2 AboutAs a business coach/consultant, I help solopreneurs (a.k.a. solo-entrepreneurs) make more money and get more energy without working more hours.

I’ve discovered what makes – and breaks – a thriving business, especially in its first three years.

  • What if building your business could be energizing?
  • What if you could radiate confidence by doing the work you love
  • How much freedom would you have in a thriving business that actually works with your personal life?

Curious? Read on… xo

My story

Building my business is a spiritual journey of personal leadership. It’s about doing what I was meant to do. It’s about not settling for anything less.

I left corporate at the top of my career while leading 100 people as communication manager for one of Canada’s biggest cities. While I loved the work and still do some corporate consulting, I made the corporate-to-entrepreneur-leap at the right time, for me.

My personal life took a back seat to my professional success. Success-driven. High-achiever. Change agent. Career-focused. I worked way, way too much.

Then, two life-changing events happened. My first child was born. Then, my Dad died two weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. He and I talked about what success really means in life. I promised myself my life would change.

I also had a huge entrepreneurial fire in me, to do something that took some guts. I wanted the freedom to blend my personal life with my professional ambitions.

I made the leap and went on my own. Then, I found myself overworked, yet again. Having freedom in my own business seemed a big myth. Getting a job again seemed easier. Yet, so many other women seemed to be “making” it. What was wrong with me?

Sure, as my Dad used to say “not all days are roses.”

I knew something wasn’t right. Here’s what I did. I invested in my business. I invested in me. I hired the right business experts to help me make my business work.

Here’s what I learned. I actually let my business take over. Things turned around the moment I slid into the driver’s seat and called the shots in my own business. (That’s why my weekly newsletter is called The Drive.) I’m now working 25-30 hours a week and making more income than in corporate.

I am making it work for me. Am I perfect? No, and I know you don’t expect that because “perfect” doesn’t actually exist.

The entrepreneurs I work with

The women showing up as my clients are working hard and doing many of the right things but are overwhelmed and not getting the results they thought they would. Yet they’re destined to make a big impact and want to make their businesses work. The LAST thing they want is to have to get a job again. Sound familiar?

Using my The Solopreneur Success System, I’ll help you create a unique vision for your own thriving business, see what’s in the way and vitalize your business to make your vision a reality. Seriously, you can make your business WORK. The effort is WORTH IT.

And, it’s not as hard as you might think with the right people to show you the way.

Some other random stuff about me

  4. Nadine hockey AboutMy husband and I did a make-it-or-break-it backpacking trip to Thailand six months after we met. We’re both pretty pragmatic.
